What I’m noticing in just about every conversation with leaders right now is this: everyone’s talking about a shift. A turn. A moment where something’s changing  – in the business, in the team, their career, in their own leadership.

I describe it as being at an inflection point, a critical kind of crossroad.

My insight? If you’re not paying attention, you’ll miss it.

If you’re not carving out time to reflect on your business, you’ll miss the inflection

If you’re not seeking objective feedback and reflecting on your own leadership, you’ll miss the inflection.

If you’re not watching the market, listening to your gut, or tuning into the whispers from your team, you’ll miss the inflection.

If you’re not listening to your head and your heart and your body, you’ll miss the inflection.

The Easter break might just be the perfect moment to pause. Not to power through your to-do list, but to reflect on the bigger questions.

Because it’s how we respond to these inflections that determines our success. Do we evolve or stagnate? Do we reimagine or retreat? Do we step forward, plateau, or slowly start to decline?

Inflection points come with choice.

We all face them: stay or leave, acquire the business, recruit the new team, offshore, onshore, niche down, scale up. First, become aware of the choice. Then you can decide how you want to respond to it.

Some people freeze. Paralysed by a need to get it just right. Others ignore the choice altogether which is, of course, still a choice. And usually not a great one.

So whatever crossroads you’re standing at, a role, a restructure, a growth decision, a personal pivot, name the inflection. Then ask:

What’s the opportunity here? And what kind of leader do I need to be to meet it?

If it’s time to unpack that inflection and work out what shifts you or your team need to make, hit reply. Let’s talk.
