One of the things I love about working with Leaders and their teams is uncovering the patterns of thinking and behaving that people fall back on, particularly in challenging times……like NOW. You see we’re all programmed to keep ourselves ‘safe’ and we’ve been honing our protective patterns since we were kids. Individuals do it, and those they interact with will respond, and thus team patterns are also established. When we receive feedback that these patterns no longer appear to serve us well, it can be easy to stay focused on these patterns eg. Don’t be critical, Don’t be conservative, Don’t dominate. Don’t go quiet.

Focus on being collaborative, decisive, composed, strategic, balanced, authentic and these critical leadership competencies will expand.
